Troy

Troy has been playing baseball for Orem High again this year. It is hard to believe he is a senior and will graduate in a few short weeks. He played a lot of 3rd base and did such a great job. I wish we could have made it to more games but the games we went to were great!!! Way to go Troy-Boy!!

Egg Drop

The Friday before Easter was Brittan's egg drop at school. We had to hard boil and color an egg, then we had to figure a way to protect the egg so that when it was thrown off of the roof of the school it would not break. Brittan chose to wrap her egg in bubble wrap multiple times and then tie helium balloons to it so that it would float down. When it came time to throw the eggs down, Brittan's balloons and her friend Katana's balloons got all twisted together so we had a 2 for 1 throw. Success!!! Brittan's egg did not break!! She was so egg-cited. Thanks Mrs. Eckchardt, you are awesome!!

Weekend getaway!!!

I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since my last post. Lot's of things to post about but I just haven't taken the time to blog about it so here we go.

In March my awesome Mom came up and stayed with the kids so that Conan & I could get away for a weekend. We left on Friday morning and came back on Sunday. We were originally going to go out of state but due to full flights and time constraints we went up to Salt Lake. We were able to go to the Jospeh Smith movie and Conan got to go to the conference center. We had dinner and went to a movie. On Saturday we went to the This is the place monument and out to the golden spike monument, wow what a long drive. Then home again on Sunday. It was so great to spend time with my wonderful husband!!! Thanks Grammie for staying with the kids so we could have a great weekend.

Catch Up!!

It has been quite awhile since my last post. I need to get better about updating. It has been a great but crazy month. Zac is done with basketball. He did a great job and is sad to see it end. We were able to get him a basketball standard and he loves to be out there practicing all of the time. Now it is on to baseball. Tryouts are coming up soon. Zac also made it to the school spelling bee. They took the top 4 in every class and Friday is the big day for the school spelling bee. He is a great speller. Brittan is keeping us busy with dance and playing with friends. She is a great reader and student. She is also excited to play t-ball. We went to the dentist the other day and all the kids did great. Even Jaxon. Brittan's bottom teeth are coming in very crooked and because she lost 3 teeth and not the 4th one it is really crowding her permanent teeth. So, the dentist said it needs to come out. He did it then thank goodness. She was so scared and really cried because the shot hurt, but she did great and was so brave. She didn't even feel the tooth come out. You should see the root on that tooth it is at least 2-3 times longer than the tooth itself. She forgot to put it under her pillow the first night but she remembered last night. She got $2 because the root was soo long. Jaxon is just keeping us busy. He is so funny but naughty and feisty at the same time. He will make me laugh one minute with his cute words and face and the things he is doing and then the next minute he is headbutting or hitting and making me mad. Oh the life of an almost 2 year old. Tyler is doing great in California. He is still in Ojai and has been there for almost 6 months. Transfers are in 3 weeks and he thinks he will be transferred. I am so proud of him. He has come so far and learned so much. It is hard to believe that he will be home in 10 months. Troy is also doing well. He tried out for baseball again this year. We are just waiting to hear if he made the team. I am sure he did. He is a great player. This is his last year to play at Orem High. I can't believe that little 4 year old boy is now a senior in high school. Time flies. As for Conan & I between work and kids we keep ourselves plenty busy. But we are blessed and thankful for our lives.

Basketball

I just have to write about my amazing son!! He is such an awesome athlete. He does so well at anything he tries. He is now playing basketball. His team is called the hoopsters and a lot of his friends are on the team so that makes it extra fun. They play every Saturday. This past Saturday I took my camera. He did great. He stole the ball countless times and made 8 baskets. He also is a great rebounder. He was fouled and got to make some free-throws. He made one of the two shots. He is also a great sport and a good team player. Great Job Zac!! You Rock!!!

Cruise!!

So I have finally gotten around to blogging again. It seems like I just don't take the time anymore to post about us, I just read about everyone else!! Sad, but true. At the end of January my friend Jenny Loftus and I set out on a wonderful adventure!! We went on a Mexican Riviera cruise. We left our husbands home with the kids for a girls vacation. I have never done this!! I have gone away with Conan but I have never left the kids with him while I have gone, and I must say I need to do it more often. We had an amazing time. We got on the ship in San Diego and then we stopped in Cabo San Lucas, and Ensenada. We had a great time. In Cabo we went snorkeling and saw Whales and in Ensenada we went to the blow hole. It was so much fun to just get away (especially from the cold weather!) Conan did great with the kids. Thanks CJ for letting me get away for a great week!!!

Hailey!!

I love my niece Hailey!! She is such a sweet loving girl. She is always happy and silly. Today I called to talk to my sister and Hailey answered the phone. I talked to her for a minute and asked how she was and she was telling me all about it. I told her that I missed her and that I wished she lived closer so I could see her and squeeze her more. She replied, "Yeah, I figured." I just laughed and laughed. Kids are so honest! I love it. Thanks Hailey for making me laugh!! I love you!!

Sleigh Riding!!

We went down to Manti on the 29th of December to spend some time with my Mom and Mark!! We weren't able to make it before Christmas so we went after because Conan had to go back to work. The kids love to go to Grammies and especially to go sleigh riding!! Their is a place just South of Manti where the dump used to be that has a huge hill. It is at least 2-3 miles long. We don't go up that far but we all pile in the back of the truck to get to the top and then we slide down. You go so fast it is sooo fun!! We had a great time and even got to cheer on the Snow College basketball team for a win!! Thanks Grammie and Pa we had a great time!!

Christmas!!

Ok, so it has been quite awhile since I updated our blog. I guess we have just had so much fun that I haven't had time. We had a great Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we met Troy and went out to Mimi's for dinner. We came home and drove through the festival of lights. Then we opened some presents and read the Christmas Story. It was a great night. Then on Christmas morning we tortured the kids by making them wait until after breakfast to go downstairs to open their presents. It think everyone was pleased with their loot. Zac got a rip stick, Brittan got her baby alive and barbie house and Jaxie just loved everything. Our family got a Wii this year and we have been having a blast with it. Our favorite gift this year was given to us by Joe. He returned from a 15 month tour in Iraq in July. He is a crew chief on a Black hawk Helicopter. On the 4th of July, 2008 he took a flag up in his helicopter and flew it for us over Bagdhad. It was very special to us that he would do that for us. Thanks Joe!! We love you!! Our other great gift was talking to Tyler in California. It was so great to hear his voice and how great he was doing. I can't believe it has almost been a year!! We are so proud of him. He is now training a new missionary. He is still in Ojai and doing great!! We love him and miss him, but know that he is doing the right thing. We were so incredibly blessed this year!!!

Christmas Decorations!!

We always put up our Christmas trees and decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I usually do a little shopping and then up go the decorations. Conan helps, but grudgingly sometimes. I figure it is so much work to get up the trees and all of the decorations that we might as well enjoy them for a month. But as soon as Dec. 26th hits Conan is taking everything down. I wouldn't mind if they stayed up a week or so longer but He puts up with it for a month so I can definitely sacrifice a week. This year I didn't get to go shopping so I gave my list to my friend Jeni. She did great! Thanks Jen. Then I bribed Conan into putting up the decorations. We always put up the big tree in the Family room downstairs and let the kids decorate it. I finally gave in and even bought colored lights even though they are not my favorite. When the lights were on and we plugged them in, Jaxon was sooo excited. He started jumping up and down and giggling and yelling wow, lights!!! He was so excited to see everything. He was even excited to put the ornaments on and even more excited to take them off. Zac & Brittan also loved decorating the tree. They are such great helpers. They love Christmas decorations and couldn't wait for them to be up. A few days after we decorated the house, we went to the Mall to see Santa. It was hard not seeing Tyler there this year, but they got to see Santa. Jaxon, would not sit on his lap and just kept pointing at him and saying, Santa! Santa! We had a great time. Now if we can just wait 10 more days for him to come. Every night when Brittan crawls into bed, she tells us that, "he is coming tonight mom!" She can't wait to open her presents. Last night we had a family party at Conan's dad's house, the kids each got to open a present and that got them all excited to open presents. I am really excited to watch them open their presents. I love to see their faces light up. It is the best part of Christmas.

Jaxie is so excited!

More Decorations!!

Hey Santa!! I want........

Raking Leaves

Well to say the least I haven't been able to get downstairs too much to look at e-mails or post on the blog, so I am trying to make up for some lost time here. It has been so warm here up until the last 3-4 days. The kids have been able to play outside and we have still had issues with yard work. We finally got around to raking up all of the leaves one day after my surgery. Jaxon was so excited to be outside and running around. He loves balls. He is really pretty coordinated and loves to kick the soccer ball around. He runs and runs. I am so glad to have a great husband that takes care of our yard!

Finally!!!

I am finally feeling better and updating our blog. It has been over 2 weeks. Things have been a little crazy at our house, but hopefully, they will slow down. (yeah right!) About 10 days ago I had knee surgery. Conan has been so great to be home these last 2 weeks and really help out. I am so thankful for him. We had a great Thanksgiving. My Mom and Mark came up and she cooked our dinner because I couldn't. I am so grateful for them. I love Christmas time and all of the lights and decorations. I am so thankful to have a warm cozy home to decorate and enjoy. And FINALLY, I am so grateful for my sweet kids. Sometimes they drive me crazy but I love them so much and am so glad they are mine. I hope you all enjoy the holiday season!!

Twilight Movie

So I saw the movie last night. I am very mixed about it. It was really good and not so good at the same time. I was really sceptical about Edward but he really grew on me, I didn't like Carslie too much, he was OK but everyone else was great. Jasper was a little weird but OK. I went in with not high expectations so I think I was really pleasantly surprised. I thought they should have given a little more time in developing the relationship between Edward and Bella but I guess they didn't have time. I am very glad that I read the book first. Let me just say that if you get a chance to go you should. All in all I really liked the movie!!

Toothfairy Anyone??

Well!! It finally happened. Britters finally lost her first tooth. Last week when I went to pick the kids up after school she came out with a little tooth necklace on. She was so excited! She told me that her teacher taped it shut so that she wouldn't loose it. She couldn't wait to put it under her pillow and wait up all night for the tooth fairy! Well needless to say that lasted about 15 minutes. Low and behold the next morning I woke up to a cute little scream!! The tooth fairy had made quite the appearance and gave her $5 for her first tooth! She was so happy and pleased that she told everyone. She is such a sweet girl and I am so lucky to have her!! Love you my little toothless Britters!!

Party!!

We have been partying it up here at the Robison house. Zac had his party on Friday. He and his friends went to Jumpin Jacks and had a great time. Then we came home and had cake and opened presents. They had so much fun that all of them asked to stay and play for awhile. The picture is of them eating their cake. Attractive bunch aren't they?? Brittan had her party on Saturday with all of her friends going to get makeovers. They got their hair, makeup and nails done. We took lots of pictures and this one is after they had the makeovers. Two of her friends had to leave before the picture and we missed them. Then they had a fashion show and ate cake and opened presents. It was so fun. Then it was time for the family party. It was really fun to see everyone. It was a very busy few days but really fun too. Thanks again everyone.

Halloween

I know that I am really slow getting all of this done, but you know life is busy. We had a great time this year. Zac was an Army guy, Brittan a BYU cheerleader, Jaxie a Tiger and Mom was a disco girl(Mama Mia anyone?) We had a great time at school parties, and then we went over to the smiths for a pizza dinner and then trick or treating with the neighborhood friends. Dad caught up with us about half way through. It was a lot of fun and we have way too much candy. I would say another fun and safe halloween!!

Pinewood Derby

The end of October was our pinewood derby. Zac & his dad had so much fun making his car. It was called the Phoenix. The boys raced on a really nice track. They each were able to race 8 times, so that it would be fair to all who were there. He had so much fun and his car was really fast, but not fast enough. He took 4th place just out of line for a prize. He is growing into such a great young man. Way to go Zac!!
