Happy Pioneer Day!!!

We had a great time on the 24th this year!! It is also Fiesta Days!! We went downtown to the carnival one night for dinner and as you can see Brittan got her arm tatooed. She thought it was great. Zac ever the boy, got a sword and Jaxie was just excited to see all of the excitement around him.

On the acutal 24th we went to the parade. It was really fun and Brittan and her friend Makensie Smith were able to see the princesses there. Needless to say they were more than excited. Jaxon once again with his Oh Wow! sentiments everytime a horse or an airplane or anything that he thought was cool passed by. He just makes me laugh.

After the parade my friend and neighbor Jeni and I took our kids to the mall for lunch and to see KungFu Panda. It was so cute and all the kids loved it. Then it was back home for naps to be ready for the BBQ and fireworks that evening. Jaxie got to do his first sparker while the other kids ran around with their friends. We had a great time!!

The only thing that would have made it better is if Dad was around. We sure miss him when he is gone! It was a blast and we all had a great time!!

The Bean Museum

Today we went to the Monte L. Bean Life Sciences Museum at BYU. My kids love to go there to see all of the animals. They love to look around and sometimes they even have live reptile shows. We happened to get there today at the tail end of the show. My kids thought it was so cool. They had an anaconda skin and a live lizard, turtle and snake. For me I stayed away from the snake, but my kids loved them all especially Jaxie. He was so excited to see all of the animals. He had his cute little chubby finger pointed at things constantly and a rousing Oh! Oh! Oh! at everything he saw. I love to see him seeing things for the first time. It is such a discovery process for him. The other thing that my kids love there is the famous "LIGER" Yes it really did live and no it is not a mythical creature as Napoleon would have us believe. They all got their picture taken with it. My kids love Napoleon Dynamite. They think it is hilarious! The quote things all the time and Brittan even tells us to call her LaFonda sometimes!! What a crazy girl. Those were the highligts of our outing today!

PICNIC!!!

It was so cute the other day. I had gone downstairs to do laundry and a list of other chores and I had left Brittan and Jaxon upstairs together. When I came upstairs Brittan had laid out a blanket on the floor in the living room and had gotten her play food out. She then told me that she and Jaxie were having a picnic. They were laughing and having so much fun that I had to snap a couple of shots of them. I have to do this so when all the kids are fighting I can remember how sweet they look when they are getting along. Both of the older kids are really sweet and nice to Jaxon (if they would just leave him alone) but when it comes to being nice to each other that is another thing! This just proves that it can happen sometimes
