Christmas Decorations!!

We always put up our Christmas trees and decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I usually do a little shopping and then up go the decorations. Conan helps, but grudgingly sometimes. I figure it is so much work to get up the trees and all of the decorations that we might as well enjoy them for a month. But as soon as Dec. 26th hits Conan is taking everything down. I wouldn't mind if they stayed up a week or so longer but He puts up with it for a month so I can definitely sacrifice a week. This year I didn't get to go shopping so I gave my list to my friend Jeni. She did great! Thanks Jen. Then I bribed Conan into putting up the decorations. We always put up the big tree in the Family room downstairs and let the kids decorate it. I finally gave in and even bought colored lights even though they are not my favorite. When the lights were on and we plugged them in, Jaxon was sooo excited. He started jumping up and down and giggling and yelling wow, lights!!! He was so excited to see everything. He was even excited to put the ornaments on and even more excited to take them off. Zac & Brittan also loved decorating the tree. They are such great helpers. They love Christmas decorations and couldn't wait for them to be up. A few days after we decorated the house, we went to the Mall to see Santa. It was hard not seeing Tyler there this year, but they got to see Santa. Jaxon, would not sit on his lap and just kept pointing at him and saying, Santa! Santa! We had a great time. Now if we can just wait 10 more days for him to come. Every night when Brittan crawls into bed, she tells us that, "he is coming tonight mom!" She can't wait to open her presents. Last night we had a family party at Conan's dad's house, the kids each got to open a present and that got them all excited to open presents. I am really excited to watch them open their presents. I love to see their faces light up. It is the best part of Christmas.

Jaxie is so excited!

Hey Santa!! I want........

Raking Leaves

Well to say the least I haven't been able to get downstairs too much to look at e-mails or post on the blog, so I am trying to make up for some lost time here. It has been so warm here up until the last 3-4 days. The kids have been able to play outside and we have still had issues with yard work. We finally got around to raking up all of the leaves one day after my surgery. Jaxon was so excited to be outside and running around. He loves balls. He is really pretty coordinated and loves to kick the soccer ball around. He runs and runs. I am so glad to have a great husband that takes care of our yard!

Finally!!!

I am finally feeling better and updating our blog. It has been over 2 weeks. Things have been a little crazy at our house, but hopefully, they will slow down. (yeah right!) About 10 days ago I had knee surgery. Conan has been so great to be home these last 2 weeks and really help out. I am so thankful for him. We had a great Thanksgiving. My Mom and Mark came up and she cooked our dinner because I couldn't. I am so grateful for them. I love Christmas time and all of the lights and decorations. I am so thankful to have a warm cozy home to decorate and enjoy. And FINALLY, I am so grateful for my sweet kids. Sometimes they drive me crazy but I love them so much and am so glad they are mine. I hope you all enjoy the holiday season!!

Twilight Movie

So I saw the movie last night. I am very mixed about it. It was really good and not so good at the same time. I was really sceptical about Edward but he really grew on me, I didn't like Carslie too much, he was OK but everyone else was great. Jasper was a little weird but OK. I went in with not high expectations so I think I was really pleasantly surprised. I thought they should have given a little more time in developing the relationship between Edward and Bella but I guess they didn't have time. I am very glad that I read the book first. Let me just say that if you get a chance to go you should. All in all I really liked the movie!!

Toothfairy Anyone??

Well!! It finally happened. Britters finally lost her first tooth. Last week when I went to pick the kids up after school she came out with a little tooth necklace on. She was so excited! She told me that her teacher taped it shut so that she wouldn't loose it. She couldn't wait to put it under her pillow and wait up all night for the tooth fairy! Well needless to say that lasted about 15 minutes. Low and behold the next morning I woke up to a cute little scream!! The tooth fairy had made quite the appearance and gave her $5 for her first tooth! She was so happy and pleased that she told everyone. She is such a sweet girl and I am so lucky to have her!! Love you my little toothless Britters!!

Party!!

We have been partying it up here at the Robison house. Zac had his party on Friday. He and his friends went to Jumpin Jacks and had a great time. Then we came home and had cake and opened presents. They had so much fun that all of them asked to stay and play for awhile. The picture is of them eating their cake. Attractive bunch aren't they?? Brittan had her party on Saturday with all of her friends going to get makeovers. They got their hair, makeup and nails done. We took lots of pictures and this one is after they had the makeovers. Two of her friends had to leave before the picture and we missed them. Then they had a fashion show and ate cake and opened presents. It was so fun. Then it was time for the family party. It was really fun to see everyone. It was a very busy few days but really fun too. Thanks again everyone.

Halloween

I know that I am really slow getting all of this done, but you know life is busy. We had a great time this year. Zac was an Army guy, Brittan a BYU cheerleader, Jaxie a Tiger and Mom was a disco girl(Mama Mia anyone?) We had a great time at school parties, and then we went over to the smiths for a pizza dinner and then trick or treating with the neighborhood friends. Dad caught up with us about half way through. It was a lot of fun and we have way too much candy. I would say another fun and safe halloween!!

Pinewood Derby

The end of October was our pinewood derby. Zac & his dad had so much fun making his car. It was called the Phoenix. The boys raced on a really nice track. They each were able to race 8 times, so that it would be fair to all who were there. He had so much fun and his car was really fast, but not fast enough. He took 4th place just out of line for a prize. He is growing into such a great young man. Way to go Zac!!

Happy Birthday Conan

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. We had a party yesterday before the Luau and his family and my mom and some of our friends came over! It was so fun to see everyone and we had such a good time. Conan is such a wonderful guy and I can really say that he makes me laugh!! No one knows how to crack me up like him. He is such a great father to the kids. We had a good lunch and of course Conan's favorite Chocolate Eclair Cake!! It was so great to have so many frineds and family around us. We are truly blessed to have all of you. He go some wonderful gifts that he is excited to use. Thanks everyone! Happy Birthday Handsome!! I love you!

LUAU!!

Yesterday we were invited to a Luau up in West Valley! It was so awesome. Conan grew up in California and went to scouts with a great guy named Masi Ika. They had lost touch up until about a year ago. After Ty left to go to Ventura we found out that his son was also going there. He went about 2 months after Ty. Well about 2 weeks ago they were made companions. Masi called us and invited us up to the Luau. It was so fun and interesting. They had cooked so much wonderful food. There was beautiful dancing and tradition there. It was so great to be a part of that. Masi and his family are so generous and loving. Thanks Masi for a wonderful time!!

Vacation

Last week we returned from a wonderful vacation. We went to Arizona to visit Barb and Bob for a couple of days. We went swimming in Auntie Mary & Uncle Dick's pool. We also went to the Phoenix Zoo. It was so much fun. We wish we could have stayed longer. Then we were off to the Bay area. We went to the Muir woods which is a Redwood forest. Those trees are gigantic. There was a redwood tree that had fallen and for some reason swarms of lady bugs had migrated there onto that tree. It was so cool, there must have been many thousands of ladybugs there. It was beautiful. On the way to the hotel we stopped at a pumpkin patch that had inflatables. The kids got to jump and slide and had a great time. The next day we went to the California academy of Sciences Museum. It has just opened after 4 long years of rebuilding. It was incredible. They have a beautiful aquarium, a swamp, a hall of Africa, play places for the kids and a planetarium. The roof is also made of living things. It was so cool and fun. The next day it was off to San Jose. We went to the children's museum there and the kids had so much fun. They have face painting, a room for the kids to just dance in, all kinds of activities for the kids. They had a water room that had different ways to get balls from one place to another. My kids loved this especially Jaxie. They had so many play areas for the kids that actually taught them things. It was such a hands on place for the kids that they really enjoyed it. I even made a corn husk doll there. It was a hit. We even found a Chevy's restaurant there. We so miss it here. On our last day we had tickets to Alcatraz. We left early and went down to Pier 39 to see the Sea Lions. The kids loved that and then off to the boat to Alcatraz. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun there. There was a man named Darwin Coon there and he is one of the last 5 surviving men who served time at Alcatraz. He was there to tell his story. The kids got to ask him questions. Brittan asked what he did to get there, he was a bank robber. Zac asked how long he was there and he said 4 years. We thought we were done and then Brittan said she had one more question. He said OK and she asked, How bad were you? Luckily he laughed and said he really was a good guy just made some mistakes but he never hurt anyone. It is so good to have inquiring minds. Then we drove up to the Oakland temple. What a beautiful place. I met a sister serving that was from Hong Kong and one from Spanish Fork. What a small world. It was great! We had a great time and are so blessed to be able to spend time together in such fun places!!

Grandparent's Day

On Friday October 3rd Brittan had her first Grandparents day at school. She was so excited to have her Grammie and Grandma Linda come. Unfortunately Linda had to leave town and wasn't able to make it but Grammie came up from Manti and they had a great time. Brittan and the other kindergartners sang for the grandparents and then they were able to sit in the lunchroom and bring either a snack or a lunch. Since Grammie had driven all the way up we were all going to go out to lunch so we made a special snack, Frosted Graham Crackers. My kids love them and so does Grammie. It was a great day and we are so glad we have such a wonderful Grammie to come all this way for Brittan!! We love you!

The Flag King!!!

Zac had his last flag football game last night. He has done so well. I am really quite sad to see the season end. At first I wasn't so sure this was going to be a good thing. He was put on a team where he didn't know anyone and the other boys had played together the year before and all go to the same school. He wasn't very sure about himself and didn't assert himself very well. It only took a few games before he got right in there and has been the flag king ever since. He has a great ability to know what to expect from the other team and be there to get the flags. He is great at blocking, receiving, kicking and pulling flags. Last night was the height of his glory and he got 12 flags!! He was so happy! His coaches were very happy with him and I am so proud of him for learning to be a great teammate and making friends with those that he didn't know. He has really learned a lot. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments! Way to go Zackie bug!!

My Little Dancer

Brittan is back in the full swing of dancing. She loves it so much and can't wait to go. I love for her to go because she enjoys it so much. This is her 4th year and she is consistently getting better. The only thing that is tough is that it is at 6:00 PM on Monday nights. She has great teachers and I love the studio. And she sure looks cute!!

Terry

Last Tuesday September 9, 2008 our wonderful and loving friend, Terry Williams was killed in a dump truck accident. He has been our neighbor and great friend for quite a few years. He and his awesome wife Linda were never blessed with children of their own so all of us became their children and our children their grandchildren. Only after we had all adopted each other did we find out that Conan and Linda really are cousins. Terry was such a funny and loving man. He always had a joke to tell and a kind word to say. I never walked away that I wasn't chuckling. He also gave the best hugs! It was quite a shock when the phone call came last Tuesday. Our world was turned upside down. It seems that his brakes failed and that he did all that he could to keep others out of harms way. He was always thinking of others. I will miss his smile and having him sit with us at church. He loved the kids and was so great with them. Brittan slept over there one night and was so excited to do it again until she realized that Papa Terry wasn't going to be there to make her pancakes. Zac loved to go over and just play and wrestle with him. He always was there for us. He alwyas came to everything that the kids were involved in. He came to ball games, birthday parties, blessings, baptisms and everything else we could invite him to. Although it has been really hard it also makes me so grateful for the gospel. I am so glad that I know that he is with our Father in Heaven and that he is OK. We will see him again. It was Terry's time to return to haven and Serve his other mission. I can only hope that my kids grow up to be like him, a loving, kind, responsible, patriotic, and God loving person. We love you Terry and we miss you!

Bob Trivett's Silver Beaver

Today was a very special day for Conan's old scout master. He was so great to Conan and spent many years in the scouting program. Conan always tells me funny memories about scouts and specifically Brother Trivett. He has always said that he learned more from him that anyone else except for his parents. He is so wonderful. He and his wonderful wife Sandy moved to Payson from California. Anytime that we have a special occasion they are here. They have been to every one of our children's blessings and also when Conan was put into our bishopric. They wonderful people whom we love dearly. Today Brother Trivett received his Silver Beaver award for scouting. This is a huge honor and is the highest award that you can receive in the scouting world. You have to donate a lot of time and energy and only a select few ever receive this honor. Conan was invited to a banquet at BYU to observe the ceremony. There were many of his buddies from his younger days there. He was so happy to visit with, Shaun Fudge, David Burnell, Robert Alderman, Chad Robison, Tracy Trivett Grant, and Steve Trivett. He had a great time and said that it was fun to catch up with everyone. Congratulations Brother Trivett!! We can't think of anyone that deserves it more!!

Jaxie's Haircut

I had to post these cute pictures of Jaxon. He got his hair all cut off yesterday. He has had his hair trimmed at least 4 times. We would cut around his ears and on the top a little. His hair grows so fast that it was long again in no time. When he would wake up or ride in the car it would get all nappy and tangled and then he would be mad at me for combing it. He was so great to just sit there and didn't even fuss once. He looks so cute. Conan doesn't love it, but he doesn't even like his own hair really short. I think he is the cutest boy ever!! We love you Jaxie!

It's About Time!!

I just have to write about the great night away that Conan & I had on Friday! It has been 2 years since we went anywhere overnight away from the kids. We have tried to plan a night away many times but something has always prevented it. So about a month ago Conan planned a night away. He called my mom to watch the kids and made a reservation and everything. Then about a week later he called me and told me that he had to work and that it wasn't going to work out. I was understandably disappointed but I understood. Well on Sunday of last week Conan started not feeling all that well and decided that he needed to go to the doctor to get checked out. He had a nasty virus and ended up staying home for the week. It was so great to have him home. We decided since he was home to take advantage and go away. Mom was so great and willing to watch the kids so on Friday morning we left. It was great. We went shopping at the mall and then we went out to lunch at Rumbi (YUM!) We decided to go to IKEA to look for a new computer desk and some other things. It was fun and of course we brought home a computer desk and a few other things. Conan had decided that he wanted to go over to Boondocks and ride the go-carts. The picture is of the 2 of us waiting in line. We had a blast. Then it was off to the hotel and then out for dinner and ice cream and just hanging out. It was so much fun to just spend time with my wonderful husband. I think sometimes we get so used to doing everything for the kids that we sometimes loose ourselves. We had such a great time and I need to tell my Mom thanks again!! You're the best! I also need to tell Conan thanks!! I couldn't ask for a better husband. Now I can't wait to do it again!!

Brittan's first day of School

Brittan woke up this morning excited. She couldn't wait to go to school. She already had her outfit picked out and told me how she wanted her hair. I had to make her favorite breakfast even thought she is in afternoon kindergarted. She wanted muffins but not any muffins, they had to be triple-berry. She was so excited. She wanted to walk to school and I think rather than walk she ran most of the way because with her new shoes they make her run extra fast. She walked right in and knew where to go. She showed her Dad where everything was and then said a quick goodbye because she needed to get to work! She came home very happy and excited. She got to walk home with the big kids and she even had homework. She felt very important. I think it is safe to say that she LOVES kidergarten! Way to go Britters!!

Happy Birthday Travis

Happy 23rd birthday to our special angel Travis Chad Robison! It is hard to believe that Travis would be turning 23 today!! Conan could be a Grandpa! He was such a special kid and still inspires all of us. We love and miss you Travis!! Happy Birthday!

Sanpete County Fair

This past weekend we went down to Manti for the Sanpete County Fair. Mom and Mark had invited us and since Conan was going fishing with his friend Al for the day I decided to take the kids. They had a blast!! We got there on Saturday morning and we went down to the carnival. Typical of carnivals it didn't open until noon. So we walked around the animal barns and the exhibition building and then the Car Show. We all had fun and saw lots of people. We had lunch and then came back to the carnival. Pa had gotten the kids all day ride passes. They had a great time riding on the rides with Grammie and Pa! As you can see Brittan even talked me into riding a ride with her. It was good fun.

Then off to the parade! I forgot how much candy is thrown at the parade in Manti! My kids scored and that was with them riding in the parade with Pa as he is a county commissioner.

As if that was not enough for one day we went to the rodeo that night. The kids had never been to a rodeo before! Crazy I know but they had a blast. Especially when Grammie took them out to ride more rides during the rodeo. It was a great time. I love to watch the rodeo and other events down there. I took a picture of the view from the grandstand. I don't know of anywhere else that you can look at the temple as you have some good ole rodeoin'!! We had such a great time!! Thanks Grammie and Pa!

Brittan's Adventure

Today after we dropped Zac off at school we came home and I cleaned the car. (It was much needed.) The kids wanted to play outside and so I asked Britters to keep an eye on Jaxie while I did my work. She also had her Kindergarten assessment at 11:45. I told her that if she helped me with Jaxie and did her best at assessment we would go and do something together. She did so well that I was very happy to reward her with going to lunch with a friend and playing on the playground there. She was so excited! We met my friend Julie Cruz at Del Taco and bought the kids lunch and then let them play for over an hour while we sat with the babies and talked. It was so great. I don't know why I didn't do this more in the summer. Oh well too late. Julie has Kayden who is a 7 months younger than Brittan and they have gone to preschool for 2 years together and now will be in the same class at school and then her baby Zane is only 2 months younger than Jaxie. It was great and they all had a good time. I snapped some pics because I had my camera in my purse from taking Zac to school. We all had a great time watching the kids play and Brittan telling Kayden that assessment was great and that Mrs. Eckhardt is awesome. I am so glad that she is so excited. They kept trying to do tricks on the play land and played so well. The only drawback to places like this is that her feet were absolutely black when she was done, but that's OK, they wash. Thanks Julie for such a fun adventure!!
