Brittan woke up this morning excited. She couldn't wait to go to school. She already had her outfit picked out and told me how she wanted her hair. I had to make her favorite breakfast even thought she is in afternoon kindergarted. She wanted muffins but not any muffins, they had to be triple-berry. She was so excited. She wanted to walk to school and I think rather than walk she ran most of the way because with her new shoes they make her run extra fast. She walked right in and knew where to go. She showed her Dad where everything was and then said a quick goodbye because she needed to get to work! She came home very happy and excited. She got to walk home with the big kids and she even had homework. She felt very important. I think it is safe to say that she LOVES kidergarten! Way to go Britters!!

Happy Birthday Travis
Happy 23rd birthday to our special angel Travis Chad Robison! It is hard to believe that Travis would be turning 23 today!! Conan could be a Grandpa! He was such a special kid and still inspires all of us. We love and miss you Travis!! Happy Birthday!
Sanpete County Fair
This past weekend we went down to Manti for the Sanpete County Fair. Mom and Mark had invited us and since Conan was going fishing with his friend Al for the day I decided to take the kids. They had a blast!! We got there on Saturday morning and we went down to the carnival. Typical of carnivals it didn't open until noon. So we walked around the animal barns and the exhibition building and then the Car Show. We all had fun and saw lots of people. We had lunch and then came back to the carnival. Pa had gotten the kids all day ride passes. They had a great time riding on the rides with Grammie and Pa! As you can see Brittan even talked me into riding a ride with her. It was good fun.
Then off to the parade! I forgot how much candy is thrown at the parade in Manti! My kids scored and that was with them riding in the parade with Pa as he is a county commissioner.
As if that was not enough for one day we went to the rodeo that night. The kids had never been to a rodeo before! Crazy I know but they had a blast. Especially when Grammie took them out to ride more rides during the rodeo. It was a great time. I love to watch the rodeo and other events down there. I took a picture of the view from the grandstand. I don't know of anywhere else that you can look at the temple as you have some good ole rodeoin'!! We had such a great time!! Thanks Grammie and Pa!

Brittan's Adventure
Today after we dropped Zac off at school we came home and I cleaned the car. (It was much needed.) The kids wanted to play outside and so I asked Britters to keep an eye on Jaxie while I did my work. She also had her Kindergarten assessment at 11:45. I told her that if she helped me with Jaxie and did her best at assessment we would go and do something together. She did so well that I was very happy to reward her with going to lunch with a friend and playing on the playground there. She was so excited! We met my friend Julie Cruz at Del Taco and bought the kids lunch and then let them play for over an hour while we sat with the babies and talked. It was so great. I don't know why I didn't do this more in the summer. Oh well too late. Julie has Kayden who is a 7 months younger than Brittan and they have gone to preschool for 2 years together and now will be in the same class at school and then her baby Zane is only 2 months younger than Jaxie. It was great and they all had a good time. I snapped some pics because I had my camera in my purse from taking Zac to school. We all had a great time watching the kids play and Brittan telling Kayden that assessment was great and that Mrs. Eckhardt is awesome. I am so glad that she is so excited. They kept trying to do tricks on the play land and played so well. The only drawback to places like this is that her feet were absolutely black when she was done, but that's OK, they wash. Thanks Julie for such a fun adventure!!
Zac's First Day of School
I am so happy to report that it was Zac's first day of school today! I can't believe he is in the 3rd grade. His teacher is Mrs. White and she is really nice. On the first day of school I always make my kids their favorite breakfast. Zac chose French Toast. He had to make sure that he looked cool & he asked me to do his hair so it would look extra good. He makes such a fuss about not looking stupid. He is so funny. Then it was off to school for his first day.
He just got home a little while ago and was so happy with his day. He has one kid in his class that he doesn't like much. This kid got into trouble the first day and that is so bad to Zac. He doesn't mind sassing and getting in trouble by me at home, but at school it is just plain embarrassing. Crazy kid. I am so glad that he is excited for school and excited to learn. I am glad to get back to a schedule and some kind of normalcy. It will be great when Brittan goes next week so we can all adjust.

Thanksgiving Point
I decided that I would take the kids for one last day of fun today before school started. I thought it would be fun to go to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point and then out to lunch to celebrate. I don't know what I was thinking going to Thanksgiving point on a $2 Tuesday. I thought since Alpine school district started yesterday that we would be safe and it would be really busy after school not in the morning. Not the case. We drove up and the parking lot was packed. I thought it looked pretty busy but not unexpected. We unloaded and walked over to the museum. The line was out the door clear to the far end of the building and wrapped around to the other corner to the end of the building. I asked a lady close to the front how long they had been in line and she said about 25 minutes and they hadn't moved much. Needless to say I wasn't about to wait 2 hours or more to get into the dinosaur museum. So we decided to go to the farm. The wait there was only about 15 minutes and it wasn't too bad aside from the heat. The kids loved the animals and we rode on the wagon.
It turned out to be really fun and then we went and had lunch at Chili's. When we got back it was time to go to the school for the open house. Both the kids got to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. I know that Brittan is excited I'm not so sure about Zac but I know I am excited!! It was a fun afternoon!

Happy Birthday Troy Boy!
Happy birthday to Troy! I can't believe he is 17 years old. The time has gone way too fast. Conan and I started dating when he was only 4 years old. The relationship between Troy and I started with him shaking his cute little bottom at me. I guess some things never change!! Just kidding Troy! He is such a great kid and I am proud to call him my step-son. He is going to be a senior in High School. He is not supposed to grow that fast!! Conan stopped by this morning on his way to work to drop off his gift. I am so glad that he was able to see him. Also a very happy birthday shout out to my beautiful niece Sadie Sue Sue!! She and Troy were born the same day!! We love you both!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The Hogle Zoo
This last Friday we decided that we needed to have some family time before Zac starts school on Wed. So we decided to take a trip to the zoo. Of course the kids loved every minute of it. They are so funny. Zac and Britters are up for seeing anything and this time our little Jaxon was so much fun. He would giggle and point and jibber jabber every time he saw the animals moving. He thought it was so great.
The first thing we did of course was ride the train. The kids love it but to me it is such a waste. It literally lasts maybe 3 minutes and is so cheesey. Oh the things we do for our kids.
Then we walked around and saw the animals. The white alligator is always a favorite. As are the monkey's and the Zebra's. We had lunch and then we went to the bird show. It was so great. All of the kids loved it and I think it was the highlight of our trip to the zoo. They have just finished the new amphitheatre for the bird show along with a carousel. It is so nice and shady and it was so much fun. The birds flew right over our heads and a couple of the birds flew in between Conan and I and brushed our hair. It was so fun. They are great there. We had a wonderful day and are so happy that the zoo is only an hour away so we can visit a few times a year. It was great to have a family day and be together. It is so fun to watch the kids reactions and just enjoy each other.

Jaxie
Our little Jaxie is so funny. He is the life of the party. Lately he is so obsessed with balls. He loves to throw them and he can entertain himself for a long time with them. He also loves to read books. If he wants to read a book he will hunt us down and hand us a book. We must stop immediately to read to him or he gets really upset. Everything in that book is a ball or a red ball. I don't mind because he loves it so much. He also loves guns and light sabers or swords. He thinks it is so much fun to swing them around and point them at people. He just came up to me a minute ago and pointed a light saber at me, all while making the noise ooooh, like they make. He is such a funny kid. He loves to watch sports that have balls on TV. He has loved the Olympics. He laughs and gets so excited to see all the people and when they get excited he claps and claps. Then he starts to do his little dance. He is such a ham. What a fun kid!!
Soccer Camp!!
Brittan started soccer camp today!! She is so funny. I forgot how different soccer is when you are in kindergarten. They all stay together and either kick the ball in a huddle kicking more of each other's shins than the ball or they all just stand there and watch the ball like it is an alien or something. I am sure it will get better but I found myself laughing a lot today as I watched. At least she looked very cute in her uniform!! We love you Britters!!!
Update on Zac
Zac is such a little trouper. He came throughthe surgery with flying colors and has done very well. There were a few times that it was a little rough but after he calmed down and took his medicine and started to drink more fluids he felt a lot better. I was nervous for Conan to leave yesterday but all has been well. He is such a great boy and is doing so well that he went out and rode his bike today. I am looking forward to getting back to normal! Thanks everyone for your calls and generosity!!
Congratulations Conan!!!
With all the drama of the surgery I forgot to post a very exciting accomplishment for Conan! Last week was Santaquin's Orchard days. Conan entered the 5K there and did very well. He was 5th out of all of the men and placed 1st in his division!! He won an Iron man watch and got a medal for his finish. I am so proud of him. He is so dedicated and he loves to run. That is one thing we do not have in common. He is the greatest!!

Another Surgery!!
Well we went to Salt Lake to the doctor today to get Jaxie's ears checked for his follow up for his tubes. He looks great and is doing so well!! Thank Heavens for that. But, Zac on the other hand not so great. He has had strep throat 6 times in the last 4 months and it was just way too much!! I was lucky that this doctor could fit us in so quickly. If you try to get to an ENT here in Utah County you have at least a 2 month wait. So needless to say the doctor took a look inside Zac's throat and at his charts and gave us no choice but to have his tonsils out, this Friday. I am both happy and sad. Happy to have it done before school but sad because there goes the rest of our summer. I will keep everyone updated of his progress. I am sure that all will be well. Zac is none too excited but will be glad when it is done. He is excited that his diet will consist of popsicles and ice cream! I think I would be excited for that diet too! Have a great one!
